Robin M. Young, of Denville, passed away suddenly at home at the age of 61.
Born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, Robin graduated from Sto-Rox High School in McKees Rocks, PA in 1971. While in Pennsylvania, she took pride working at an animal shelter. She also loved her career at The Meadows Racetrack in Washington, PA. For 15 years she groomed and took care of her adored horses at the racetrack, with certain horses allowing only her to take care of them. A hard and dedicated worker, she was well respected at the Racetrack and they promoted her to a position in the Commission Office. Her major passions in life were her dogs, horses and the racetrack. Robin was the Secretary for the Eastern German Shorthaired Pointer Club. One of her favorite places to visit was Gettysburg, PA. Robin was an extraordinary woman that will be missed.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 13 years, David S. Young; her loving children James Abromowicz and his wife Heather and Robbie Abromowicz, both of Pittsburgh, PA; her cherished granddaughter, Emma Abromowicz; her caring father Robert Nolte and his wife Mona of McKees Rocks, PA; her loving in-laws, Overton and the late Dorothea Young of Denville; her devoted siblings, Nick Nolte, Robert Nolte, Jr., Constance Segelon, and Kevin Black all of Pittsburgh, PA; many nieces, nephews, and extended family; and her worshiped puppies, Ozzy, Stormy, Fanny, Panda, and Parker.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 31st at 11:00 am at The Meadows Track Chapel, 210 Racetrack Rd, Washington, PA 15301. Visitation will be held at Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Avenue, Denville, on Thursday, July 16th from 2-4 & 7-9 pm.
