Irma Schiavone, 79, (nee Carmelitano), passed away peacefully at home, on Wednesday, November 6th, with her loving family by her side. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 11th at 10 am at St. Mary’s Church, Denville. Entombment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. Friends and relatives may visit on Sunday, November 10th from 2-4 pm at the Norman Dean Home For Services, 16 Righter Avenue, Denville. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory are appreciated to the Alzheimer’s Association, 400 Morris Ave, Denville, NJ 07834. After high school, she met Anthony Schiavone at work and the couple married in 1955. They settled in Denville, NJ where they would raise their family and where they resided for over 50 years. Irma was an exceptional homemaker and caretaker. She was always busy baking and making a beautiful home for her family. She was a long time member of St. Mary’s Church, but above all else, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Irma loved to give more than receive. Surviving is her husband Anthony of 58 years, her three children Anthony and his wife Jill, Thomas and his wife Missy, and Annie Burkley; her seven grandchildren Rachel, Matthew, Elicia, Tyler and Michael Schiavone and Robert and Tori Burkley; her sister Diane Artuso, and many more loving relatives and friends.
