I was shocked and terribly saddened to read of Sorin's untimely passing. I'm a musician and I've performed many times at Zeris Inn. Sorin was a wonderful friend, a true gentleman with a great sense of humor. He served me more meals than I can count and not once would he accept a gratuity from me. I will miss him very much. My deepest condolences to his lovely wife and family.

Simona, I cannot begin to express the sorrow I feel for your loss. I met Sorin the first year he was at Zeris when we started doing the Sacred Heart Tricky Tray. We have so many fond memories of working with him and his incredible work ethic to ensure our event was a success. I will never forget when he won the 50/50 - he was so excited! I truly feel very privileged to have worked with him, and I considered him my friend. I am extremely grateful that I got to see him recently at the 50th Anniversary Dinner. Please know that this world is a better place because of Sorin. May God hold him in the palm of His hand. Rest in peace my friend - you will be missed. Michele McCue Shaffer
