Obituary of Eric Werner Kummert

Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Avenue Denville, New Jersey 07834 (973) 627-1880 Daily Record 1x Thursday Neighbor News Eric Kummert, age 84, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 14, 2012, while receiving loving care at Victoria Mews Assisted Living Facility in Boonton, NJ. He was born July 3, 1927, in Hoboken, NJ, to Otto and Elise Kummert. He was a graduate of Newark College of Engineering, where he earned a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering, as well as a M.S. degree in Structural Engineering. He married his wife Annikki on September 20, 1958, in New York City. He worked as a Civil/Structural Engineer with Foster Wheeler Corporation until his retirement, and had his own business drafting plans for building/remodeling and performing home inspections. Before embarking on his career as an engineer Eric served in the U.S. Navy. Eric is survived by his wife, Annikki, his three children, Robert and his wife Janet Kummert, Lynn and her husband Chris and Roger Kummert and his wife Kathleen Phelps, and five grandchildren, Tim, Natalie, Nicholas, Eamon and Oona.
