Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, 91
Ida L (Bengtson) Kiefer, 91, of Franciscan Oaks in Denville, NJ, passed away on April 17, 2012.
Mrs. Kiefer was born in Brooklyn of Swedish parents and was a long-time resident of Tottenville, Staten Island. She was executive secretary to the Vice President Controller of Chemical/Chase Bank. She served as secretary to St Stephens Episcopal Church and the Tottenville AARP and was a member of the Conference House Association. She was an avid gardener and loves her cats.
She was predeceased by her husband, Milton R Kiefer. She is survived by her daughter, Virginia L Wetherill and her husband, Charles, of Jefferson, NJ, four grandchildren and their spouses and nine great-grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be on Thursday April 19th from 4 to 8 pm with services at 8PM at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ www.normandean.com, (please light a candle in memory of Ida on website), Internment will be private on Staten Island.
