Anthony Lombardi, 90, died on Thursday March 29, 2012 at Merry Heart Nursing Home in Boonton Township, NJ. He was born and raised in Morris Plains, until moving to Morristown for the remainder of his life. Anthony served as a Master Sergeant in the US Army Air Corp during WWII stationed in Italy and Africa. He worked as a welder for Moretrench in Rockaway, NJ for forty five years retiring in 1984. He loved gardening, going to Atlantic City and sitting under his dogwood tree in his front yard. He is predeceased by his son Richard in 1995, and his brothers Ralph, Joseph and Daniel as well as his sister Anna Gula. He is survived by his wife of 65 years Florence M "Pride". His daughter Joyce Ormen and her husband Ken of Rockaway, and his grandchildren Dawn (Dan) Suto of Lexington, S.C., Andrea (Frank) Camp of Hamburg, NJ, John Manna of Mt. Arlington, NJ and Emily Ormen of Rockaway, his great grandchildren Christopher, Danielle, Angela and Benjamin. He is also survived by his brothers John of Allamuchy, Louis of Nutley and Albert of Morris Township. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday April 1, 2012 from 2-4 PM at the Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave. Denville, NJ www.normandean.com. All other services will be private.
