Happy Thanksgiving Mom. As I sit here watching the parade I am flooded with memories of Thanksgiving of years past as you cooked & watched the parade. If I woke up early enough I watched it with you. Next year I will be making new memories with my baby & I will share with him or her the memories we shared. We are spending time with family today & I know you Wilone's with us! Well it is 12/26/12 and we have had another 1st without you. It was busy as usual for christmas but it was a good one but you were missing. We had some snow on christmas eve and it is snowing today. Happy Thanksgiving Mom. This is another 1st that is hard without you. I remember all the fun thanksgivings we hard with the carvers & even the ones you put on with all the great food! Sean only has a few yrs of memories but misses them & you. Allie is having thanksgiving today & its gonna be good to have change. Missing you alot today Mom. You know they say 33 is supposed to be the best year of your life. Im not sure if this is true or not but I know for me it is only half true because you arent here with me in the physical world. I am greatful for the past 32 years I had with you and am blessed to have you and dad as my parents. Dad has done a great job filling in for you and I know it is hard for him. On my way to work this morning I heard the song Lullaby by nickelback which makes me think of you & what I am going through (video doesnt match my feelings from the song lol) and I knew you were there with me as I sang along. Have a drink for me today in heaven and know Im thankful because you are part of what made me who I am today! I love you so much and am missing you. xoxoxo

When I was growing up, Pat was my idol. She was so beautiful and funny and was always so good to me, her little cousin. Pat was always thinking of others. She worked tirelessly to get the best care for her sister, Deirdre, when she had her medical trauma. She was always concerned about other's health and well being. I will miss her terribly.

Pat Berrie...one of the sweetest, kindest, and caring people I've ever had the priviledge to know. She welcomed me into her home for 'Folk Mass' guitar practices with her husband John when I was in High School, back in the mid-70s, and she made sure we all had plenty of snacks to eat. We always ended the evening with lots of Irish folk songs. John had a wonderful voice and Pat loved hearing him sing. From that start, we became long-time family friends. My Mom, Margie and my Dad, Bill cherished their friendship immensely. Pat was always there for us. She and my Mom spent many hours together performing physical therapy for children in need. Pat had a wonderful smile and just made you feel like you were one of her own. We will all miss you, Pat Berrie. I know you'll be busy for a while, chatting with my Mom...you've got a lot of catching-up to do! May God hold you in the Palm of His Hand.

Our hearts and prayers go out to the Berrie family. We only knew Pat for five years, but that was plenty of time to see what an incredibly generous, kind, sweet, loving and just plain wonderful woman she was. It made me smile when I would get into my car in the morning or out of it in the evening and see Pat standing in front of her kitchen window. We’d always give each other a wave or a smile, and I will truly miss that. Pat also had the ability to always make us laugh. When we first moved across the street from her, she knew my husband’s name was Chip and she referred to me as “Dale.” She will be sadly missed. The neighborhood just won’t be the same without her. We are so blessed to have known Pat for the short time we did. Love, Rachelle, Chip and Baby Nicholas.

I am a friend of Deirdre's and just wanted to express my prayers and sympathy to the Berrie & Murphy families. Today, there were 2 Holy Masses said for the repose of the soul of +Jean Patricia. Yesterday, +Jean's name was placed on the altar of a Mass celebrated by Father Peter Mary Rookey at International Compassion Ministry in the Chicago area. Father Michael Perea, a Norbertine Priest in California, is remembering +Jean in his night prayers. God bless.
