Catherine P. (Gorman) Murphy passed away at St. Clare's Hospital in Denville, NJ 0n January 23, 2012.
She was 91 years old.
Born in New York City she had lived in Demarest for 20+ years before moving to Denville, NJ in 2001.
Catherine was a bank branch manager for Chemical Bank in New York City for 37 years before retiring in 1976.
She was predeceased by her husband Peter J. Murphy in 1988.
Catherine is survived by her nieces and nephews Ellen Pilger, William Mulhall, Mary Lebrecht, Kitty Carroll, Larry Carroll, Pat Joinnides, James Gorman, Lorraine Gorman, Victor DeGhett and Peter Ruane.
Funeral services will begin at 9AM on January 26, 2012 at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter avenue Denville, NJ 07834 for a 10AM Liturgy of Christian Burial Mass at St. Mary's Church in Denville. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne, NY. Friends may visit on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9PM. Please light a candle in her memory at: www.normandean.com.
