I grew up across the street from the Gurye's and have many fond memories. But there is one memory that stands out in my mind. I was about 9, the Salemi's dog, Pookie, got loose and was chasing me. I was so scared. I was running around, crying, trying to get away. Larry ran into the street after me. He grabbed me, putting me behind him and stopped Pookie from getting me. I was so greatful. Thank you, Larry.

Dear Jared and all the Guyre and Cleveland family: If ever it felt like my heart was ripped right out of my chest this is it; I know we are all still reeling and filled with grief. I loved your parents deeply and will forever miss them. I do believe they are together again, and hope that may offer some small measure of comfort at such a sad time. Though thousands of miles away, my heart is there with you - and my home is always open to you should you ever feel the desire to "get away." Jared, it seems like yesterday I was sitting in your house, I wish I could be back there now. Please know you are in my heart and in my prayers. Love, Riki

My heart goes out to all the Guyer clan. Many of the Silver family's boys and girls went to school in Bogota with the Guyers, several among us were good friends. I remember being in the house in Ridgefield Park, and seeing the "giant" brothers when I was a kid,and being a bit nervous, but they were always nice. May peace be with all of you. Jared, your dad always made time for his younger siblings, and has a very special place in our hearts. Our first date together was a double date when Larry was home on leave from the service. He took us along for a ride to Bear Mountain and a drive-in movie. Larry was 19, we were 16, and the rest is history. We send you our love and wish you strength and peace.

RIP Big Brother. When they read your name in Mass today, I had a flood of great memories of being a teen with such a "COOL" brother. You always took things in stride. With legs that long we don't wonder why!
Jared we pray God keeps you stong, and helps you through these trying times. Your family is with you.

So many memories of you since I was 18 years old; your famous nicknames for eveyone. Mine was "Farina"! I loved when my little boys charged their friends 10 cents to come in to see their "Uncle Giant". Rest in peace, "Lah". Wishing peace and love to Jared, the siblings and all who love Larry. Eunie

Jared- I will always miss the way your dad made me feel so special. He called me 'pretty Pete' as his own special name for me. As a child it made me feel very grown up. As an adult it was a way of acknowledging our special 'code'. I can hear is voice at your mom's memorial "Hey there, Pretty Pete". He was a wonderful cousin.
I wish you well as you grieve and hope you find Peace. You are in my prayers. Love Pierre
