Philip Joseph Dalton Jr., 77, died on Sat. Dec. 17, 2011 at Compassionate Care Hospice in Dover, NJ. He was born in Morristown and raised in Whippany and moved to Denville forty one years ago. Philip retired after thirty years from the Sheet Metal Workers Local #25 in Carlstadt, NJ. He was active in Denville sports programs coaching with the Denville Little League, Hub Soccer and the Denville Recreation Basketball League. He is survived by his wife of 46 years Harriet M. nee DeMouthe, his children Philip J. Dalton III (Kim) of Parsippany, Laura VanDorsten and Donna (Donald) Yost all of North Plainfield, and Denise (William) Doran of Rockaway Twp. His five grandchildren Evan, Jayne, Anthony, Kristen, and Thomas, and his two great grandchildren Mekiah and Elijah. He is also survived by his sisters Joyce Sanchelli of Fla. and Loraine Wood of Haddonfield, NJ, as well as his two sister's in-law Marilyn Dominick and Judith DeMouthe both of Lake Hiawatha, NJ. Funeral services will be held on Wed. Dec. 21, 2011 at 10:00 AM at the Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Avenue Denville, NJ www.normandean.com.
