Anna Gunhilde Rolfsen (Halvorsen) passed away at Compassionate Care Hospice in Dover, NJ on November 17, 2011. She was 95 years old.
Born in Norheim, Haugesund, Norway, she came to the U.S. in 1947 and lived in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, NY and moved to Hanover, NJ where she live for 45 years before moving to Rockaway Twp., NJ 6 years ago.
Anna worked as a baby nurse and a nurses aide in Oslo, Norway. She was an avid gardener and was a lifetime member of the Sons of Norway.
She was predeceased by her husband of 30 years Albert S. Rolfsen in 1976, and her son in-law Henry Sanford Cluett in 1992.
Anna is survived by her daughters Louise Marie Cluett-Thoresen and her husband Roy Thoresen of Sparta, Lila A. and her husband Vincent Stephani of Rockaway, NJ. She is also survived by her grandchildren Eric S. Cluett, Casey S. Cluett, Ingrid Stoll, Torill Stephani and Kjell Stephani, as well as her great grandchildren Kailee Cluett, Zackary Cluett, Alyssa Cluett, Matthew Cluett, Breanna Ambabo, Addison Ambabo and Elin Stoll, and her brother John Halvorsen of L.B.I., NJ.
Funeral services will begin at 10AM on Tuesday November 22, 2011, at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave Denville, NJ 07834. Interment will follow at Restland Memorial Park in East Hanover. Friends may visit on Monday from 4-8PM.
