Frederick William Havron, Sr., 74, of Rockaway, NJ died Wednesday, October 12th, 2011 at home surrounded by his loving family. Fred lived and died on his own terms showing all of us by his example that faith, love, strength and character are the things to be truly valued in this life.
Born in Newark, NJ on December 1st, 1936, Fred resided in Rockaway, NJ for 46 years. Mr. Havron worked for Schiapparelli Biosystems, Inc. as Director of MIS and retired in 1996.
He served in the United States Army and received an honorable discharge in May, 1958.
Surviving are his loving wife of 52 years, Ann (Coppard) Havron, daughter Linda Chico and her husband Stephen of Lake Mohawk, NJ, daughter Karen McCormack and her husband Peter of Meriden, CT, son Frederick W. Havron, Jr. and his wife Rosemary (Villani) of Jackson, NJ. Six grandchildren, Joshua Chico, Natalie, Jaden and Mackenzie McCormack, Liam and Claire Havron. His sister, Frances A. (Havron) Gilmore, of Linden, NJ and Sebastian, FL, step-sister Christine Massaro and her husband Raymond of Toms River, NJ, Brothers-in-law Ed Coppard and wife Sandy and Peter Coppard and wife Maureen of Kent, UK as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Fred was predeceased by his parents Frederick William and Johanna (Rutar) Havron, Step-brother William Straube, step-sister Dorothy Kosztowny, Brother-in-law George Coppard and grandson Sean Michael McCormack.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial service at St. Cecilia’s Church on Saturday Oct. 15th at 10am, interment at St. Cecilia’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Compassionate Care Hospice 400 West Blackwell Street, Dover, NJ 07801 or the American Cancer Society 7 Ridgedale Ave., Cedar Knolls, NJ 07927.
