I just found this... Bob was a great friend and mentor! I'll never forget when I got my first shortwave receiver in 1970 I walked all the way from Boonton to his Hallicrafters shop in Mountain Lakes, trying to find a service manual... it was freezing cold!
We went on to become great friends. He would let me come to his home in Denville and let me hang out for hours.. I learned a lot about radio. Been into it ever since. We worked together at Suburban Aviation (remember them, bounced paychecks and all!?) and Royal comm. Carpooled in his shot out 1967 T-bird to Teterboro every morning, a very harrowing experience! <g>
My memories are treasure. I am honored and privileged to have had Bob as a friend, the best and the wisest man to have ever known.
