Russell E. Pillsbury Jr. passed away at St. Clare's Hospital in Denville, NJ on July 13, 2011.
He was 81 years old.
Born in Nashua, MA he had moved to Denville, NJ 65 years ago.
Russell served in the United States Army during WWII. He then worked in maintenance engineering at Knoll Pharmaceutical in Whippany, NJ for 21 years before retiring.
He was a past Chief of the Denville Fire Department, a member of the Denville American Legion Post #390, and served on the Denville Ambulance Squad.
Russell was predeceased by his wife Helen (Wright) Pillsbury in 2002.
He is survived by his beloved children Russell E. Pillsbury III of East Orange, NJ, Dennis Pillsbury of Florida, Linda Nicholais of Belvidere, NJ and Gail Mitchell of East Stroudsburg, PA. His 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren and his sister Alice Day of Colorado also survive him.
A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday July 17, 2011 from 2-4PM with a Military service staring at 3:00PM at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave Denville, NJ 07834.
