Inge Welter – Lake Shawnee
Inge (Betty) Welter lost her brave battle with cancer on Sunday June 19, 2011. She was determined not to let illness interfere with her love of life.
She was born in Oberhausen, Germany, and immigrated to New York City at the age of 4.
She worked for the Visiting Nurse Association for 30 years, before retiring to Holiday, Florida. She was known for her carefree attitude, love of dancing, animals, travel and just having fun. She was an active member of the American Legion-Holiday Florida, the German American Club-New Port Richey, Florida.
Inge was reunited in heaven with her husband of 58 years, Pierre who died in 2001, and her beloved Schnauzer Fred.
She is survived by three children, Peter Welter, Land o Lakes, FL, Bob Welter, Palm Harbor, FL, Lisa Welter, Lake Shawnee, NJ. She is also survived by a beloved granddaughter Jennifer Welter, Land o Lakes, FL.
Services are private. A gift to an animal charity of your choice in her memory would be her wish.
