Florence W. Getz, 96, passed away on Thursday May 5, 2011 at the Franciscan Oaks Health Care Center, Denville, NJ.
Mrs. Getz was born in Nazareth, PA, was a resident of Morristown until 1994 when she relocated to Franciscan Oaks in Denville. She was a graduate of high school in Coplay, PA and a graduate of Sacred Heart School of Nursing in Allentown, PA in 1936. She was employed as a private registered nurse in Morristown, and a as supervisor in the Admissions Office at Morristown Memorial Hospital, retiring in 1965.
Her husband Albert J. Getz predeceased her in 1970.
She is survived by her son Jack and his wife Janet of Westfield, NJ, her grandson, Christopher and his wife Stephanie of San Antonio, TX, her granddaughter, Elizabeth Carmichael and her husband Peter of Gettysburg, PA and her five great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial service at St. Francis Chapel 122 Diamond Spring Road, Denville, NJ on Saturday May 14th at 11am, interment will be private.
