Margaret Lash,a relative of mine, that lived down the street, I grew up on. She was one of the sweetest people you could ever meet. We played in her yard almost every day and night, and probably gave her a headache with all the yelling and rough-housing. LOL, but she always had a smile on face. My fondest memory of her was the cakes she would bake (from scratch)...and would color the icing with food coloring, (I remember the dark green one) but I think it was dark because Joyce and I put extra drops in the bowl)...LOL. Then she would invite the neighborhood kids in to have a piece. Oh, and I always remember her yelling RALPH! I'm glad to see she lived such a long life and I'm sure she is with her loved ones in heaven now. (:

I love you Aunt Marge. You were an example of hospitality, kindness and courage. I stii remember when you came to visit us in Texas late in your life. You had just learned to drive and flew for the first time. You said, "Why didn't I do this before". I know that you are with God.

In a Lash family that surely had a person of every type, Marge was always the smiling, pleasant person to us all. And Joyce, the duel loss of family members in the same month is unfair to be sure, but Ralph too was, like his mother, a gentle nice person. All the best from Sue and I.

I lost my mom on Sunday, just 7 1/2 weeks after losing my brother Ralph. I guess the Lord just wanted them to be together but there is such a large hole in my heart. My mom was known for her wonderful smile and her love of her family, friends and just people. I will miss her always. Thank you to all my family and friends for the support and love during the past week and the week ahead

Joyce and Howie, I am very sorry to hear that Aunt Marge has passed. She was a very special person. I reflect on the the times when all of us kids played football in your front yard, hung upside down on the swing set, or engaged in a kickball game in the street that often resulted in errant shots pelting your house. All the while, Aunt Marge remained friendly and tolerant. I remember the many times she walked the mile or so to St. Mary's church to attend Sunday mass. She literally walked the walk as an example of commitment to her faith and to God. I am confident she has been blessed with the greatest eternal reward.
