I will always have memories of Larry Haverly and Haverly Systems since my Mom, Louise Van Riper, started working for him during the start up of his company. When my sister and I were kids, she worked on programs while sitting on the Lake Arrowhead beach watching us kids play in the water. His employment of our mother offered us opportunities to visit different parts of the USA each year. We discovered Arizona and reside here today. Mr. Haverly, as I called him when I was growing up, always took the time to show interest in what us kids were doing. He was kind man with a sense of humor. My thoughts to Victor, Angie, and family.

I first met Larry nearly 30 years ago at a conference in Brighton. I don’t think he changed a great deal between then and the last time I saw him in Barcelona in late 2002. We always enjoyed his company and I appreciated the contributions he made to the field of optimisation. His work has been an inspiration to probably more people than he ever knew and has developed far beyond what might have been foreseen when he started.

Larry made Haverly Systems a great company to work for. I will alwasy appreciate his enthusiasm for modelling problems, for letting me pursue my own ideas and trusting my judgement - and giving me room to balance work and family.

My sincere condolences on the passing of Mr. Haverly. Having grown up in Denville I have had the pleasure of knowing both he and Angela and have known his great love for Denville. He was a quiet, gentle man who will be missed. Again, my sincere sympathy to the family. Donna Izzo Costello, Municipal Clerk

Larry was truly a ‘man of the world’ but most of us knew him as a helpful neighbor.
Larry’s love of Lake Arrowhead was shown in his years of service to the community. He was committed to maintaining the neighborhood as well as supporting the swim team over the years. Sunday afternoon regattas will always bring Larry to mind.
He will be deeply missed, but Larry will live forever in the hearts of his Lake Arrowhead friends.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Angie, Victor, Angela and Olivia.

I have many fond memories of Mr. Haverly, and what a kind and generous man that he was. I got the nicest letter from him several months ago, and it was so thoughtful of him to think of me and send it. He will be missed! My love to the family.

Haverly Family,
Its been too many years since I have seen Larry's wonderful smile! It looks exactly the same as I remember it so many years ago at Gardner Field! In the hsitory of the Denville LL there were many good coaches and good people! I however can not recall a more pleasant and gentlemanly person! Mr Haverly was an angel of a man then and now he is a true angel in Heavan!
Your unfortunate loss of a husband father and grandfather is truely heavans gain.

Larry touched many. Larry, John Bonner, and Basil Joffe transformed an industry and are collectively responsible for the gainful employment of thousands and thousands of people. Quite a legacy.
You will be missed.

If there were a hall of fame for the LP Profession, Larry should be the first member. I will miss everything about Larry and especially his great smile and positive attitude. May God be with the entire Haverly family.
