Gale McCarthy, a loving mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away on Tuesday morning, March 26, 2011, at her home in Glen Spey.
Gale was born in West Orange, NJ on June 4, 1953, to parents Howard and Florence Dubanowich; she was the youngest sibling and only daughter of four children.
She attended Livingston High School growing up, and went on to receive her LPN from St. Barnabas Medical Center, working at various practices over several years. In recent years, she had pursued several hobbies and interests, such as selling real estate, collecting and trading antiques, and most recently starting and running a successful artisan antique jewelry creations business.
Gale is survived by her two sons, Sean McCarthy and his wife, Dana, Colin McCarthy and their father, Patrick; her brother, Kenneth Dubanowich and his wife, Miceal; grandson, Aiden McCarthy; sisters-in-law: Margaret Dubanowich and Mary and Lynn McCarthy; brothers-in-law, James and Thomas McCarthy; cousin, Chris Larson and his wife, Roseanne; nephews: Jesse Dubanowich, and Lucas, Hans, and Michael McCarthy. Gale is predeceased by her brothers, Stanley Dubanowich and Gary Epton.
