Ellen Marie Pekrol, 67, passed away at her home in Denville on Sunday March 27, 2011.
Ellen was born Hackensack, NJ and grew up in Bergen County and moved to Indian Lake section of Denville and was a long time resident of Denville. Ellen was a graduate of Morris Hills High School and the County College of Morris Nursing Program and was an RN for Saint Clare's Hospital's in Denville and Dover for 28 years retiring in 2010. Ellen was a member of the Denville Community United Methodist Church and the Rock Ridge Lake Community.
Ellen was predeceased by her sister Gladys Babbit.
Ellen is survived by her husband George "Jack" Pekrol, her daughter Tonia Simon and her husband Dan, her grandchildren Kate and Jack Simon, her mother, Agnus Francois, her brother Richard Yobs and his wife Mary, and her step-brothers, Peter and Frank Larson and numerous nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends will be received at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ www.normandean.com, (please light a candle in memory of Ellen on web site), on Tuesday March 29th from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Ellen's funeral services will be held on Wednesday March 30th at 9:30am at the Denville Community United Methodist Church 190 Diamond Spring Rd., Denville, NJ. The committal interment services will follow at 2pm at the Chapel at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery Wrightstown, NJ. In lieu of flowers donations to the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer at www.avonwalk.org.
