Dear Betty and family,
My sincere condolences on the loss of a true statesman. I remember distinctly when I was interviewed in 1979 for the position as Municipal Clerk for the Township of Denville. We sat in your living room and the entire interview was conducted with your dog by my side with his head in my lap. Needless to say I guess the dog and my interviewers liked me because I am still Municipal Clerk. Jack was the first Mayor I worked with and he was a great teacher. We all looked up to him and respected him. He will truly be missed. Again, my most sincere sympathy on this great loss to your family and to the Denville community. Donna Izzo Costello, Municipal Clerk
