My Dad was a kind, gentle man, grateful for anything that was done for him. He was always available to help others, even in his later years when his mobility was limited. Everyone always told me what a true gentlemen he was. I will miss the twinkle in his eye and the way he smiled. I will miss my Sunday afternoons with him over the past several years when we would sit outside and enjoy the sunshine. He would hold my hand and tell me how grateful he was for my visits and for the cookies I would bring him and for his clean laundry. Little things which meant so much to him that I will always be grateful that I shared with him. He is in a better place now with his dear Leila who he loved and missed so much. I love you and I miss you "Pa".

Uncle John was my godfather, and my memories of him are fond ones of a kind and dignified man who loved his family and was connected to his Irish roots. I remember that when I was invited for dinner at the Travers home my Aunt Emmy would wash dishes after dinner and Uncle John would be by her side drying them, which gave them some private time together. Their loving relationship was an example to us all. Uncle John will be missed by all who knew him.

My Dad was an exceptional man who graced this earth with strength, kindness and humility. He always thought of others first, providing us with a shining example of how to live a good life. I am honored to be his daughter.
