Obituary of Agnes Fitzgibbon

Agnes Adele Fitzgibbon, 91, died peacefully on January 3, 2011 at Morris View Nursing Home, Morris Twp, N.J.
Miss Fitzgibbon was born in New York to Charles and Alice (nee Condon) Fitzgibbon in 1919.She entered the order of the Sisters of the Sorrowful Mother in 1950 and took the name Sister Mary Richard. She earned her education at the Marquette University. She was a book keeper at the St. Joseph's Hospital in Mankato, Minnesota prior to teaching elementary and high school education in Milwaukee Wisconsin. Miss Fitzgibbon left the order permanently in 1973 and moved to Bronx, NY. She worked as a bursar at a seminary school until her retirement in 1982.
She is predeceased by her parents, her brothers Richard and Charles and a sister Alice (Elisa). She is survived by a nephew Michael and a niece Mary of Sioux City, Iowa, and countless care givers over the years from Morris View, The Dwelling Place and Continuing Care Pavilion of St. Clares.
A Liturgy of Christian Burial Mass will be held on Thursday Jan. 6, 2011 at 10:00 AM at St. Francis Chapel 9 Pocono Road Denville, NJ.
Arrangements are being handled by Norman Dean Home for Services Denville, NJ.
