John J. Ahearn passed away at his home in Parsippany, NJ on December 23, 2010.
He was 72 years old.
Born and raised in Manhattan, NY he had lived in Parsippany, NJ for 40 years.
John worked as a police officer for the NY - NJ Port Authority for 34 years before retiring in 2000.
He was predeceased by his wife of 40 years Sheila E. Ahearn (Aiken) in 2007.
John is survived by his loving children Kathleen (& Joseph) Gesue of Croton, NY, Kelly Ahearn of Lawrenceville, Kristin Ahearn and John Ahearn both of Parsippany, NJ. His Grandchildren Rowen, Joseph and Celia also survive him as well as his sister Catherine Brandoff and his brother Edward Ahearn, both of Palm Bay, FL.
Funeral services from Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave Denville, NJ 07834 will begin on Wednesday December 29, 2010 at 9AM for a 10AM Liturgy of Christian Burial Mass at St. Christopher's Church in Parsippany, NJ.
