Ruth W. Milich, 77, of West Milford, died Sunday, December 12, 2010 at the Merry Heart Care facility in Boonton. Mrs. Milich immigrated to Weehawken, NJ from Germany, to begin a life with her husband Willy, in 1953. They moved to West Milford in 1959. Ruth worked for the West Milford school district for many years. Eventually she was employed as a dietary supervisor for St. Clare’s Hospital in Denville, from where, after more than 25 years of service, she retired. Ruth was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Morristown, NJ.
The daughter of the late August and Emilie Wohlfarth Nuding, Mrs. Milich was also predeceased by her husband Willy F. Milich, in May of 1964. She is survived by two daughters, Linda Gaden of Morristown and her husband, Frank, Carol A. Jennings of Denville and her husband, Gregory; one son, Ralph F. Milich of Lake Charles, Louisiana and his wife Rebecca; four grandchildren, Erik and Steven Gaden, Michael Milich and Emily Jennings; and four brothers and two sisters still living in Germany.
A Memorial Service will be held on January 8, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Morristown Presbyterian Church, 57 East Park Place, Morristown, NJ 07960. Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Online condolences may be offer at www.normandean.com.
