Steven Avetzuk, 90, passed away at Saint Clare’s Hospital, Denville, NJ on Monday November 8, 2010.
Steven was born in Philadelphia, PA was a longtime resident of Newark, NJ and a resident since 1961 in Denville, NJ. He was a self employed Carpenter, and was employed at the New Jersey Department of Transportation for 12 years retiring in 1986. He served overseas during World War II in the US Army He was a member of St. Mary’s Church.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years Emily (Nee Gebhardt) Avetzuk, his children, Barbara Enyeart and her husband Cy of Oakton, VA, Mary Conway and her husband Bill of Rockaway, Stephen F. Avetzuk of Denville, his three grandchildren Michael, Matthew and Victoria Conway, his great grandson Christopher, his sister Alice Gregorits of East Hanover.
Steven’s funeral will be conducted from Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ www.normandean.com, (please light a candle in memory of Steven on web site), on Friday Nov. 12th at 9am for a 10am Mass of Christian Burial service at St. Mary’s Church, Denville, NJ, committal interment service at Gate of Heaven Cemetery East Hanover, NJ. Relatives and friends will be received on Thursday Nov.11th at the funeral home from 2-4 and 7-9pm.
