Mrs. Ferrante was born in Fontechiari, Italy, she came to the United States in 1961 and settled in Newark, NJ. Mrs. Ferrante was later a resident of Orange, South Orange and Denville before moving to Succasunna. She was an accomplished Seamstress and Designer in the US she worked Olympic Junior Dress Shop in Newark for over 30 years retiring in 1988. She was predeceased by her husband Luigi in 1997. She is survived by her sons Benjamin Ferrante and his former wife Carla of Denville, John Ferrante and his wife Joann of Succasunna, Sergio Ferrante and his wife Lucille of Morris Plains, her seven grandchildren Gina, Marcello, Marco, Angela, Rachel, Luke, and Sera and one great grandson Joseph, and her Brother Arturo DiCocco and his wife Dina of Howard Beach, NY, with their son Aldo, and daughters Marie, Rita, Angela. Mrs. Ferrante was also very close to her niece Ines Magnarelli of Philadelphia and her family. Mrs. Ferrante had many other family and friends across New Jersey, New York, and Philadelphia. Mrs. Ferrante loved her yearly trips to Italy; she was surrounded by her family and friends in her hometown of Fontechiari. Ada’s funeral will be conducted from Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ www.normandean.com, (please light a candle in memory of Ada on web site), on Saturday Oct. 23rd at 9am fro a 10am Mass of Christian Burial service at St. Mary’s Church Denville, NJ, committal and interment services at Gate of Heaven Cemetery East Hanover, NJ.
