Anna T. (Bellafiore) Meledandri, 98, a resident of Franciscan Oaks, Denville, N.J. died on_Oct. 3rd, 2010.
She was pre-deceased in 1992 by her husband of 52 yrs., Caesar F. Meledandri, Sr.
Born in N.Y.C. in 1912, Mrs. Meledandri resided in Montvale, N.J., Toms River, N.J. , Leisure Knoll, Manchester Twp., N.J. and Franciscan Oaks, Denville, N.J. At the end of her life, she was a communicant of St. Catherine's Church in Denville, N.J.
She was a graduate of Marymount College in Tarrytown, N.Y. in 1936. After raising her family she continued as an educator in the Montvale, N.J. School system for 20 yrs. teaching French. She obtained an M.A. degree from Penn State University in 1960.
In her retirement she enjoyed traveling with her husband, playing golf, and enjoying her grandchildren. After her husband's death she volunteered teaching French, reading to the visually impaired, and actively participating in the social life at Franciscan Oaks in the book club, writing club, and card club.
She is survived by her three children: Caesar F. Meledandri of Laconia, N.H. and his wife, Judith; Robert J. Meledandri, Sr. of Breinigsville, PA.; and Anne L. Meledandri of Parsippany, N.J..Grandchildren: Marc F. Meledandri of Laconia, N.H.; Robert J. Meledandri, Jr. of PA., Dr. Nina Meledandri Podobnik of Portland, Or., Michael C. Meledandri and his wife, Beth, of Seattle, WA. Also,her great grand-child, Audrianna Meledandri of PA. Survivors also include her sisters: Katherine Bates of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; Mary Franzetti of Port St. Lucie, Fla. and her brother-in-law, Howard Donnell of Lakeland, Fla. She was pre-deceased by a sister, Rosaria (Roz) Donnell of Port Ste. Lucie, Fla. and a brother, Vincent Bellafiore of Iowa and many nieces and nephews.
There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wed., October 6, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Mary's Church in Denville.
