I met Judy in September 1957 when I entered the 7th grade at Main Street School, Denville, having just moved into town. It was easy to recognize immediately how special she was... even then. She struck me as being shy but she always had a kind word and smile for me. Over the years my family and I lived all over the US with a brief time in Europe so I only contacted her sporadically usually about MRHS reunions that she so ablely managed. The last time I saw Judy was in September 2001 for just such a reunion of several classes. This was a happy time for us reminising and chuckling about who-knows-what. She spoke briefly of cancer then but was pretty upbeat about it all so I was upset to hear the news as I had no idea Judy was in such a fix. Even tho our paths haven't crossed very often, I'll be sad when I think of her but happy that she not suffer any longer. I wish all of Judy'sextended "family" well. God Bless you, Judy. Your friend, Gerry

Dear Bruce, Bruce and Megan:
I just want you all to know how saddened I was to receive the phone call that Judy had passed away last week. Having known both Judy and Bruce for 45+ years, and having been a close friend all those years, I feel honored to have known Judy. She is one of the most wonderful, caring, and compassionate people I had ever met. I will always remember and cherish the beautiful memories and fun times that we had together. Please know that both John and I will have you and your families in our constant thoughts and prayers. Love to you all and God bless.

Dear Bruce: I saw the pain on your face and I know how much you struggled as you watched Judy suffer during her final days on earth. I know you love Judy and you wished you could take away her pain. We need to remember that God knows what it’s like to suffer; He suffered when He saw His Son hanging on a cross. In this world we will have tribulation and suffering, but Praise God; He has overcome this world. Although I don’t know the exact pain you are feeling at this time, I know the God who does, and I pray that you will allow Him to comfort you and heal you and your family. I will always cherish the memories I have of Judy.

Dear Bruce and Family,
High School days teach us many great lessons but among the most significant are the gifts of friendship - the kind that inform our lives like very few other forces. Judy and Bruce, we shared such special years, together later bringing Tony into our loop. He too loves you both. If memory does, indeed, serve may the memories we share fuel the present and surround you with love in the future. Hold tight to your beautiful family - what a legacy. Rest in peace Judy!
