Obituary of John P. Sullivan

John P. Sullivan, 81, died on Thursday July 22, 2010 at his home in Mt. Tabor, NJ.
John was born in the Bronx and grew up in Staten Island before moving to the Mt. Tabor Section of Parsippany, NJ in 1961.
After graduating from High School John signed up with the N. Y. Giants Baseball Team where he was a catcher and an outfielder.
He later worked for Florida Power and Light and came back to NJ and worked over thirty years for Jersey Central Power and Light Company where he retired as the Superintendent of Stores in Bernardsville, NJ in 1986.
He then went to work part time for ChemLawn in Denville.
He was a member of the Major League Baseball Alumni Assoc. in Denver, Co. as well as a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Council Knights of Columbus in Denville, NJ.
A Daughter Mary Ann Sullivan died previously.
He is survived by his wife Ann Marren Sullivan whom he just celebrated fifty years of marriage.
He is also survived by his son John of Mt. Tabor, and daughter Tara and her husband Jim Baumann of Denville, his grandchildren Alex and Juliana Baumann, and Hannah and Leah Sullivan and his sister Peggy Howarth of Melbourne, Fla.
Funeral from the Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Avenue Denville, NJ www.normandean.com on Monday July 26, 2010 at 9:00 AM for a 10:00 AM Liturgy of Christian Burial Mass at St. Mary's R.C. Church Denville, NJ. Friends may visit on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9PM.
