Mirolslaw "Mike" A. Belej, age 76, of Denville, passed away Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at Morristown Memorial Hospital. Born December 13, 1933 in Wojnyliw, Ukraine, he was the son of the late Ivan and Miroslawa (Rubczak) Belej. Miroslaw had received his B.S. and Masters degrees from Temple University as well as a PhD from Thomas Jefferson University Medical School. He had been employed as a Pharmacologist for many years.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Radoslawa "Rhoda" (Uhorczak) Belej; children, Andrew and his wife Susan of Chatham, and Donna Belej of Brooklyn, NY; and grandchildren, Karl and Amanda Belej.
Relatives and friends may visit Sunday July 18 from 2-5 pm at Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Ave, Denville. A service (Parastas) will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday at 10:00 am at St. John the Baptist Church, Whippany. Please meet directly at the church. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Miroslaw's memory to St. John the Baptist Church Building Fund, 60 North Jefferson St, Whippany, NJ 07981. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
