Gertrude Veronica Wagner, 87, passed away at her home in Toms River on Tuesday May 4, 2010.
Gertrude was born in and a longtime resident of Staten Island, NY and was a resident of Franklin, NJ and the last 1 ½ years in Toms River. She was employed as a seamstress for the New York Giants football team for 20 years retiring in 1990.
Gertrude was predeceased by her husband Edward James Wagner and her son in law Frank D’Andrea
Gertrude is survived by her daughter, Patricia D’Andrea, her son, Edward Wagner and his wife Ann Marie, and their daughter Katie, her grandchildren, Catherine Gleason and her husband James, Janet D’Andrea, Karin Pakenham and her husband Barry, Andrew D’Andrea and his wife Stephanie, Donna Wagner, and Christopher Wagner, and their mother Andrea Wagner, her great grandchildren, Ryan, Kevin and Erin Gleason, Katie, Brian, Keri Pakenham, and Mairi D’Andrea her brother, Arthur Firstner, Andrea Wagner.
Gertrude’s funeral will be conducted from Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ, www.normandean.com, (please light a candle in memory of Gertrude on website), on Friday May 7th at 8:30am for a 10:00am Mass of Christian Burial Service at St. Mary’s Church, Denville, NJ, committal and interment services at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Franklin, NJ. Relatives and friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday May 6th from 5-9pm.
