Dominick A. Failla passed away at his home in Rockaway Twp., NJ on April 18, 2010.
He was 84 years old.
Born in NY, NY, he had spent most of his life in Pompton Lakes prior to moving to Rockaway, NJ 7 years ago.
Dominick served in the Army Air force where he was a tail gunner during WWII. He was also a member of the "Jolly Rodgers". He then went to work as a technician for IBM in NY City, and Lyndhurst, NJ for 35 years before retiring in 1988.
He was predeceased by his brother John Failla in 1972.
Dominick is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Gloria (Ferrante) Failla, of Rockaway Twp., NJ. He is also survived by his daughters Loretta & Art Tagleiri of Rockaway Twp., Diana & Joseph Yokaitis of Denville, Barbara & Mark Viglietta of Rockaway Twp., and Regina & Chuck Sisco of Pompton Lakes, NJ. His 7 Grandchildren, Jennifer Stevens, Melanie Zuravnsky, Justin and Nicholas Yokaitis, Alaire Viglietta, Taylor and Christian Sisco, as well as 6 Great Grandchildren, Abigail, Garrett, Ryan, Aiden, Brooke, and Lucas, and 2 brothers, Brothers Gregory Failla of MN and Michael Failla of DE also survive him.
Funeral services will begin at 9AM on Thursday April 22, 2010 at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave Denville, NJ 07834, for a 10AM Liturgy of Christian Burial Mass at St. Mary's Church in Denville, NJ. Friends may visit on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9PM. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The National Kidney Foundation 30 East 33rd St. NY, NY 10016.
