Seeing Auntie Gene was always a treat. I admired her zest for life and her independant spirit. I was very lucky to have had a long conversation with her this past Thanksgiving. We spoke about her friends, family and community, all of which I know were so important to her. She also reminisced about her wedding day which I had never heard about before and really enjoyed. She had a great sense of humor, was one of a kind and we will miss her dearly.
