Mr. Scardino was born in Italy came to the United States in early 1960’s and was a resident of The Bronx, NY and Haworth, NJ before moving to Rockaway Township 6 years ago. Salvatore was self employed as a Barber at the Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City for 40 years retiring 8 years ago. Salvatore was a member of St. Bernard’s Church at Mount Hope, NJ, was a member of the Fox Hills Italian Club and was a “passionate Soccer fan”. Salvatore was the loving husband for 50 years to Michela ( nee Buzzone) Scardino, devoted father of Michele Friezo and her husband Michael of Montclair, and Frank Scardino and his wife Christie of Dallas, TX, and his cherished grandchildren Lauren Elizabeth, Caroline Michele, Trey, and Blake, and his brother Ray Scardino and his wife Josephine of The Bronx, NY. Salvatore’s funeral will be conducted from Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ www.normandean.com, (please light a candle in memory of Salvatore on web site), on Saturday March 20th at 10am for a 11am Mass of Christian Burial service at St. Barnard’s Church Mount Hope, NJ, entombment and committal services at Holy Cross Cemetery Mausoleum, North Arlington, NJ. Relatives and friends will be received Friday March 19th at the funeral home from 2-4 and 7-9pm.
