Duffy “Jack”, 78 passed away at Morristown Memorial Hospital, Morristown, NJ on Tuesday February 16, 2010. Mr. Duffy was born in East Orange was a resident of and Denville since 1968 and the last 9 years at Fox Hills Rockaway Township. Jack was a graduate of Seton Hall Prep in 1949 and he received his Bachelor degree from Seton Hall University. He served in the United States Army in the Korean War. He was an Executive Sales Representative for Liberty Mutual Insurance Company in Parsippany retiring in 2001 after 41 years of service, where he was a 13 time member of the Liberty Leaders Club and received numerous other awards in his illustrious career. Jack was a long time fan and supporter of the Seton Hall Pirates Basketball team. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Our Lady of the Lakes Council #3359, and a supporter of the Morris Knolls Band Boosters. Known as “PaPa Jack” to all, he enjoyed watching his grandchildren’s baseball basketball and soccer games. Jack was “optimistic, generous, and fantastic”. He was predeceased by his two sisters, Kathleen White and Eileen McLaughlin. He is survived by his wife Mary Gately Duffy of Rockaway Township, his children, Kevin Duffy and his wife Roni of Sparta, Kathy Duffy Mosquera and her husband Carlos of Warren, Moira Teagarden and her husband Neville of Parker, Co, Megan Mahoney and her husband John of Denville, Ellen Pietrucha and her husband Matthew of Denville, proud grandfather of 16 grandchildren, Erin Duffy, Michael, Kristin, and Riley Mahoney, Christopher, Matthew, Dylan, and Kelly Mosquera, Riane, Regan, Connor, Madison, and Liam Teagarden, Jack, Maggie, and Michael Pietrucha, his sister Rosemary Ertel of Spring Lakes Heights. Jack’s funeral will be conducted from Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ www.normandean.com, (please light a candle in memory of Jack on web site), on Saturday February 20th at 8:45am for 10am Mass of Christian Burial service at St. Mary’s Church Denville, NJ, entombment committal services at Holy Rood Cemetery Mausoleum, Morristown, NJ. Relatives and friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday February 19th from 2-4 and 7-9pm.
