Warden Jr, 71, following a courageous nine year battle with Leukemia passed away on Friday February 12, 2010 at Saint Clare’s Hospital at Denville, NJ. Jim was born in New York City, NY and was a longtime resident of Denville, NJ. Jim served in the United States Army. He was a Systems Analyst for the Cigna Insurance Co. in New York retiring 12 years ago. He was a member of St. Mary’s Church, a member and an avid golfer at the Peace Pipe Golf Club, a member of the American Legion Post 390 Denville, an avid Giants and New York Yankees fan. Jim is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years Mary Ann, he was the devoted father of Nancy Schweizer and her husband Douglas of Raleigh, NC, Kathleen Cortese and her husband William of Lake Hopatcong, James M. Warden and his wife Laura of Downingtown, PA, and Thomas E. Warden and his wife Yasmin of Randolph, and his cherished grandchildren Emily, Lyndsi Cortese, James R. Warden, and Thomas L. Warden. Jim’s funeral will be conducted from Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ www.normandean.com, (please light a candle in memory of Jim on web site), on Tuesday February 16th at 9am for a 10am Mass of Christian Burial service at St. Mary’s Church Denville, NJ, committal and interment services at Denville Cemetery. Relatives and friends will be received on Monday February 15th at the funeral home from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Family suggests donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
