Charles Joseph Goodale passed away at Compassionate Care Hospice in Dover, NJ on January 27, 2010. He was 99 years old.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, he had lived in Paramus before moving to Parsippany, NJ in 1988.
He had been a New York City Police Officer for 20 years before retiring in 1960; he then worked for the Federal Reserve Bank in NYC for 20 years before he retired in 1980.
Charles was a member of the Sons of the American Revolution, and is a direct descendant of the Mayflower.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 77 years, Elizabeth (Kraft) Goodale of Parsippany, NJ. His sons Ronald of Pompano Beach, FL, Charles of Pocono, PA, and Girard (& Donna) Goodale of Parker, CO, and his five Granddaughters, Christine, Cynthia, Kathleen, Rachel, and Sarah, as well as his Great Grandson Sean also survive him.
Funeral services will begin on Saturday January 30, 2010 at 10AM at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave Denville, NJ, for a 11AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter’s Church in Parsippany, NJ.
