Obituary of Helen B. Nowak

Helen Bednarz Nowak Loving Mother, Grandmother And Great Grandmother Helen Bednarz Nowak, 86, of Oak Ridge Passed away on Wednesday January 20, 2010. Mrs. Nowak was born in Newark in 1923 and worked as a photographic model and fashion model during the 1950’s. She enjoyed her retirement with her husband the late Joseph Nowak at their home in Laurens South Carolina where she enjoyed practicing her interests in nutrition assisting older residents of that community. She and her husband provided off site learning for agriculture students of Clemson University at their farm on their practices of organic farming in the 1990’s. She is survived by her son Glenn and his wife Irene Wargo, Grandson Glenn and his wife Kunthea Niles Wargo and Great Granddaughters Ceylon and Ella. Her sister Genevieve Polkosky of Orlando, FL and her brother Harry Bednarz of Brooksville, FL also survive her. She will be buried with her husband in Georgia. A memorial Mass will be held at St. Joseph’s Church in West Milford, NJ on Thursday January 28, at 7:00PM. Please light a candle in her memory at www.normandean.com.
