I remember your mom being a wonderful lady. She always went out of her way to make me feel welcomed. I also remember her making roast beef, mashed potato's,corn & gravy. Your dad would put a little of each on his fork. I started doing that and I still do that today. What a beautiful lady.

I will always remember Carol's smile and caring ways. Ever ready to laugh and share in a good time at church; she will be missed. She was one of the women who could always be counted on to offer hospitality. Even when she was sick, she made visitors feel better.

I met Carol in 1972. I became part of the Berry Patch in 1974. Married the oldest of her 4 boys and brought a girl into the family in 1976. She loved our Michelle, a little girl. Life happens, but Carol ALWAYS and let me say always made me a part of your family. She was a warm and wonderful person. She never forgot a birthday and made every occasion special, and always wanted to be called MOM. Then there is the Berry Christmas. A time that we all came together to be together as a family Again Carol made it special, the food, the gifts and the special stockings for everyone. I love all of my memories of her. She was a special lady and I will miss her. Love Doris

Dear Mom, Today is the day I had hoped and prayed would never, ever come. As I sit here with tears in my eyes I thought of this prayer. I read it in church to you a year or so ago on Mother's Day. I cried then too. The story starts like all do . . Once upon a time, there was a child ready to be born. So I asked God "they tell me you are sending me to earth tomorrow, but how am I going to live there being so small and helpless" ?
Among the many ANGELS, I chose one for you. She will be waiting for you and will take care of you.
But tell me, here in Heaven, I don't do anything else but sing and smile and that is enough for me to be happy.
Your ANGEL will sing for you and will also smile for you every day. You will feel your ANGEL's love and be happy.
How am I going to be able to understand when people talk to me. I don't know the language that men talk ?
Your ANGEL will tell you the most beautiful and sweet words you will ever hear - and with much love - and will teach you to speak.
What am I going to do when I want to talk with you ? Your ANGEL will place your hands together and teach you how to pray.
I have heard that there are bad people on earth. Who will protect me ?
Your ANGEL will defend you even if it means risking her life.
But I will always be sad because I will not see you anymore.
Your ANGEL will always talk to you about me and will teach you the way for you to come back to me - even though I will always be next to you.
At that moment there was much peace in Heaven, but voices were heard from Earth, and the child in a hurry asked softly . . .
I am about to leave now, please tell me my ANGEL'S name.
You will call your ANGEL . . . "MOMMY".
I will forever love my ANGEL. Rest in peace. Love, Stephen
