Ron was well known and loved throughout Lake Arrowhead. Always the gentleman he would ask if he could join anyone walking since that was his greatest pleasure and entertainment. He had wonderful philosophies he would share during the walks, one was waving to every car that went by, whether or not he knew who it was because waving was a friendly gesture and people will "slow down" to be friendly. He also accepted the sudden change in his life when his wife died and his life in Lake Arrowhead as: "That was my life then and this is my life now". Ron was a kind and gentle soul.
