Doreen was a former co-worker and dear friend. I will miss her. We walked in the 26 mile Breast cancer walk in New York City several years ago. Doreen was driven to beating the disease. I ran into her this summer, and she told me the cancer had returned. I said to her, "Doreen you are strong you will beat it again!" I will never forget her reply, she looked me right in the eyes and said "Nancy, this time I am too tired."
