John Michael Scocozzo, 57, passed away at Saint Clare’s Hospital in Dover, NJ on Monday November 30, 2009.
John was born in Brooklyn, NY, was a longtime resident of North Bellmore, LI, NY and was a resident of Mount Arlington, NJ. John was in the Maintenance Department of the Hempstead Parks Department for 37 years retiring 3 years ago. John enjoyed hunting and his Atlantic City trips. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Lake Church.
He was predeceased by his parents Marie and John Scocozzo.
He is the nephew of Rose Scocozzo and Lillian and her husband John Amato of Mount Arlington, Joseph and Anthony Scocozzo of North Carolina, he is also survived by his four god children and two half brothers.
John’s funeral will be conducted from Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ www.normandean.com (please light a candle in memory of John on web site), on Friday December 4th at 8:45am for a 10:00am Mass of Christian burial service at Our Lady of the Lake Church in Mount Arlington, NJ. Interment Holy Rood Cemetery, Westbury, NY. Relatives and friends will be received on Thursday December 3rd from 2-4 and 7-9PM. In lieu of flowers donations to the American Diabetes Foundation.
