Rezso "Rudy" Dancsecs, age 82, of Parsippany, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, November 21, 2009. Born December 13, 1926, in Szentgotthard, Hungary, he was the son of the late Rudolph and Gizella (Nemeth) Dancsecs. Rudy enjoyed gardening, cooking, and baking, and was famous for his "Rudy Kazudy" cookies, which he baked for many occasions.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, James, Mary, John, and Joseph. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Patricia (Burfield) Dancsecs, Parsippany; sons, George of Roxbury and Michael (wife, Susan) Dancsecs of Rockaway; grandchildren, Adam, Elisabeth, Matthew, Michael, and Ella, brothers, Stephan and Frank Dancsecs; nephew Laszlo (wife Julia) and niece Eva Dancsecs; and many dear friends.
Services begin Tuesday, November 24 at 10:00 am at Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Ave, Denville, for a 11:00 am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter of the Apostle Church, Parsippany. Private cremation services will follow. Relatives and friends may visit at the funeral home Monday, November 23, from 4-7 pm.
