Obituary of Marie Dooley

Marie Dooley (Helmstetter) of Rockaway, NJ passed away on September 20, 2009 at Merry Heart Nursing Home in Boonton, NJ, she was 92 years old.
Born and raised in Newark, she had lived in Irvington before moving to Rockaway, NJ in 1967.
She attended the St. Ann's School in Newark, NJ where she received a medal of Excellency.
Marie worked for Edison Brother's on Broad St. in Newark for many years and in 1967 she opened the Joan Bari store for Edison Brother's in the Willowbrook shopping Mall in Wayne, NJ. After that she worked for Skyline Auto Auction in Fairfield, NJ before retiring in 1981.
She was a member of the Sacred Heart of Jesus RC Church in Rockaway, and volunteered at the Dennis B. O'Brien Elementary School in Rockaway, and The First Presbyterian Church of Boonton.
Marie is predeceased by her husband Daniel T. Dooley in 1958, and her son Daniel T. Dooley in 2008, as well as her two sisters Mildred Platt and Eleanor Posencheg.
She is survived by her Daughter & son in-law Patricia M. & Richard Maguire of Rockaway, NJ.
Her Grandchildren Glenn & Dawn Maguire, Colleen & William Zester, Nicole & Mark Dunning, Samantha & Thomas Zaleski and Danielle Fredericks, and her Great Grandchildren Marc, Trevor, Brianna, Connor, Wyatt, Erin, Zachary, Tyler, and Harper. She is also survived by her brother Harold Helmstetter of Saddle Brook, NJ.
Funeral services will begin at 8:30AM on Thursday September 24, at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave Denville, NJ for a 10AM Liturgy of Christian Burial Mass at St. Clement Pope & Martyr Church in Rockaway Twp., NJ. Friends may visit on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9PM. Please light a candle in her memory at www.normandean.com.
