Iva Mae May passed away on September 4, 2009 at Morristown Memorial Hospital.
She was 88 years.
Born in Bowler Flats, Montana to Robert S. Smith and Sarah (Madsen) Smith, she had moved to Washington DC in 1939 and then to Newton, NJ where she has lived since 1968.
Iva Worked as an administrative secretary at Picatinny Arsenal in Rockaway Twp., NJ where she achieved multiple accommodations for her work performance before retiring after 27 from the Artillery Armaments Division in 1993.
She was predeceased by her husband Harry E. May in 1974 as well as her sisters Violet H. Marsh, Billie June Smith, Joanne Smith, Ronella Blackhall, Geneva S. Williams, Rose S. Myers and her brother Robert S. Smith Jr.
Iva is survived by her daughters Beverly L. Heron and her husband Robert T. Heron, and Karen E. May as well as several nieces and nephews.
