Obituary of Arthur J. McCurdy

Arthur J. McCurdy passed away at his home in Blairstown, NJ on July 25, 2009.
He was 94 years old.
Born in Mt. Tabor, he had spent most of his life in Denville before moving to Blairstown, NJ 26 years ago.
Arthur was a US Marine Reservist and worked as a truck driver for Treadways Express in Boonton, NJ for 29 years before retiring in 1983. He was also a member of the Teamsters Union and the National Rifle Association, when he was a young man he was a member of the Mt. Tabor Fire Department, and was an avid fly fisherman.
His is survived by his beloved wife of 71 years, Olga Joan (Zecca) of Blairstown. He is also survived by his loving children Thomas McCurdy of Craig, CO, and Doris Kloss of Parsippany, NJ. His six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and brother Russell McCurdy of Albany, NY also survive him.
Funeral services will begin on Wednesday July 29, at 9AM at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave Denville, NJ and process to United Methodist Church of Denville for a 10AM service. Friends may visit on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9PM. Please light a candle in his memory at www.normandean.com.
