Daddy,
I miss you so much. I think about you everyday and I know you're with me in everything I do. You would be so proud of your beautiful new great-grandchildren, Carter and Anthony. I can see you holding them with your cheek pressed against theirs, singing a song (I can hear you making up the words). I wish I could give you a big hug and kiss right now. I miss you dad and I love you!

Baby! I did my first oral argument in the Appellate Division today. I know you were there with me, because I couldn't have done it without you. But not being able to call and talk to you about it afterward made me really miss you. I love you so much baby. Thank you for your perpetual support & encouragement!

Oh Gramps, not a day goes by that I don't think about you, or tell a story about you, or speak to you as though you are still here. The hardest part is that I can't call you to say goodnight. But every time I start to cry, no more than a minute later I find myself smiling. Just the thought of you and the memories we shared gives me enough happiness to last the rest of my life. There was never a dull moment, baby. I am so proud and so blessed to have been your pretty little girl. I love you baby! goodnight.

Honey, Today is one week since you went away. I miss you very much, but I know you just didn't want to be the way you were. I know you were looking down and were very proud of how your children and grandchildren celebrated your your life and passing into heaven. How about Jillian? She sang her one last song for you. I know you are with Anthony and I'm sure you are also with your family. Thank you for the ribbon. It must have been Ant's idea to put it on the Bird of Paradise. Thank you for the kisses. I love you too - always and forever.

I went to school with Maria and Louie and Maria and I were friends in grade school.
Coincidentally, just this past Tuesday I was thinking about the Fattorusso family and remembering what a warm, loving family they were. I also remembered wishing that my family was like them.
During my reminiscing, I recalled the names of the Fattorusso children and wondered how they were doing as adults.
Also, I recalled that Mr. Fattorusso had an Edsel. Isn't it funny what sticks in one's mind!
Mr. and Mrs. Fattorusso raised a lovely family because they were/are lovely people.
May your memories sustain you.

Though I did not see much of my uncle in later years, I loved and respected him greatly. He was always good to my mother, Angela, and I know he was always good to his family. Uncle Joe was also modest: he never told me he won the Bronze Star for bravery during World War II, even though I several times asked him about his war service. God bless my uncle and may he rest in peace.

Papa Joe,
True inspiration can be found in only a few places. You have inspired me just by being you. The things in life that you loved, you surrounded yourself with. A loving Wife, always by your side, I can't recall a time when you were apart . . . A loving Family that always enjoyed being with each other and with you . . . Your loving Grandchildren who blossomed in the light of your love . . . Your Love of Life, Laughter, and all of the important things in this world (including Seafood Chowder) have inspired me to live my life in much the same way. Thoughts of you will be with me for the rest of my days.

I can't believe it's only been a couple of days and I miss you so much. Thank you for those last moments when you gave me that big puckered kiss and said you loved me. You went so peacefully and I know you are reunited with Anthony now. I never thought I'd be able to live through this day, but in the last week you gave me so much love (as you always did) and the courage to accept that it was your time to go. You will forever live on in my thoughts and in my heart . . . until we are together again. I love you!
