Obituary of Beatrice M. Staskiel

Beatrice Staskiel Beatrice Staskiel (Petroski), 79, of Rockaway Township passed away at the Chelsea at Montville Assisted Living Facility on Friday, June 12, 2009. Beatrice was born and raised in the Buttonwood section of Wilkes-Barre, PA, where she met Donald T. Staskiel. They married in 1956. Together they raised a family while residing for many years in Wayne, NJ. She was a customer service representative for Bell Telephone Co. in Clifton, NJ, for 22 years, retiring in 1992. After retirement, Beatrice moved with her husband to Wilmington, DE where they lived for seven years. In 2003, Beatrice moved to Rockaway, NJ, to be near her children. Mrs. Staskiel was predeceased by her husband, Donald Staskiel, Sr. in 2002 and her daughter, Mary Ann Gabis in 1998. Survivors include her children, Patricia Ochs and her husband, Barrie, and Donald Staskiel and his wife, Jessica, her brother, Raymond Petroski and her sister, Ernestine Domashinski. Mrs. Staskiel is also survived by her five grandchildren, Jonathan Gabis, Kristin Endres, Daniel and Elizabeth Ochs, and Addison Staskiel, and 2 great-grandchildren, Laura Endres and Christian Gabis. Funeral services will begin at 9AM on June 16, 2009, at Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ, for a 10AM Liturgy of Christian Burial Mass at St. Clement Pope & Martyr Church in Rockaway, NJ.
