Uncle Johnny, we can only imagine the sadness you feel with the loss of your dear Harry. I will always remember his quiet kindness and the occasions when as a child and young adult you would get a glimpse of his sense of humor over burgers and potato salad at the buffet line at my mom and dad's Memorial Day picnics. You will be on our thoughts and prayers, Love Maureen and family

I didn't know Harry very well, but when I saw him and spoke with him he was friendly and kind - very soft spoken, yet intelligent and knowledgeable in many areas. He was a great friend of my aunt's (Peg Gray) and was so kind and caring as she entered her later years.
Since she is not able to enter this, I shall say it for her, "God Bless Harry, a good neighbor and friend."

My fondest memory is Harry's smile.
Harry's smile was infectious. You couldn't help but smile back. His smile would draw you towards him. His smile was a signal to me that he wanted to tell a funny story. And he usually did. I loved his sense of humor.
I look forward to seeing his smile again, in Heaven. This past Easter my priest, Father Anthony wrote this..."Christ, by overcoming death has restored life to the fullest and our death no longer has the ring of finality to it, but rather is a portal to our heavely home. Death now for us is no longer an end of life;it is rather an event in our earthly existence." This quote brings a smile to my face in the midst of sorrow, for I know I will see Harry's smile again.

Our thoughts are with you John. We are sorry to hear of Harry's passing. With the news came images of Harry in our minds; he smiling joyfully around the card table in St. Croix, or busy at his crosswords. We will miss his company.
